Technology in Sports
Over the years technology has evolved in sports. It all started with the radio, and at the time many people viewed this device as the best. Looking back at it the radio was just the beginning and no one could predict how technology would evolve after that. Even though sports were being televised, the broadcasters did not have the greatest amount of resources. There were often only one or two cameras that were used to broadcast a game. As the years past new and improved cameras were developed that enabled the viewer to enjoy their viewing experience. Cameras were not the only things to change. Broadcasts began to provide features that would allow the fans to have a better understanding of what was going on. A prime example being the yellow first down line in the NFL or graphics displaying up to the minute scores and stats on the bottom of your screen. The concepts of high definition, 3D, and satellites would soon take over the world of technology in sports. These concepts would drive the technology to what we see in the world today.
